In 2002, J R Paradise Adventure Resorts Private Ltd. was one of the pioneer companies, set up by an environmental consultant, to foray into the adventure and eco-tourism segment of the Indian market. The aim of the company was to set up a chain of adventure resorts and campsites that fitted into the rugged landscape of the outdoors.

The resorts being developed were to stand apart from others for two basic reasons, one being that the resorts would provide a range of adventure activities depending on the regions the resorts were developed and the second being that the resorts would be developed against the natural backdrop presented by the eco-system of the region and careful planning would ensure that the impact of tourism was kept to the minimum.

With the above goals in mind J R Paradise Adventure Resorts has already set up an eco-adventure resort “Riveredge Paradise Resort" at Karwar, in North Kanara District, Karanataka and a eco-adventure farm stay “Rolling Hill Paradise Ranch” at Daverahalli, in Kanakapura District, near Bangalore and is in the process of building another eco-adventure resort “Wildwood Paradise Resort” at Anmoud, in Belguam District, Karanataka .

In addition, J R Paradise Adventure Resorts has also tied up with other like minded resorts, as consultants, to develop and run the adventure segment of their company.
